It wasn't easy to move away from the feelings Foreman had been fighting off all weekend. He'd been pushing himself, at the gym or working on his publications, in order to keep his mind away from the feeling of rejection. It shouldn't surprise him that Amber wanted to spend more time with him; he was worth it. It only took getting used to, finding his way back into the comfortable, confident sense of self he'd had on Thursday when he'd first seen that Amber was hitting on him. His muscles relaxed as they moved away from the hospital, their hands still clasped, Amber's shoulders brushing against his when he stepped close to her. "Sounds good," he said. He already felt better, more at ease. At some point, he'd have to stop and think about what that meant, how quickly he could relax around her, let the world fall away so that he could concentrate on her. For now, it was simple enough to go with it, and stop fighting.
"My car's closer," he said, grinning with a hint of teasing smugness. They'd already talked a bit about Amber moving up the ladder as far as staff parking went. She'd be parking right outside the doors in a few months, if she kept after her goals as much as she had been. For now, Foreman would rather get out of the cold than walk all the way back to her spot.
