Foreman didn't care about Brennan's motivations. All he knew was that he hated the sly, smirky look Brennan wore when he thought Foreman's back was turned, and the way he interfered with the way Foreman was running the case. Yeah, so he'd seen a symptom that turned out to be relevant; that was good, but Casey's seizure in the MRI would've shown that there was more to the case before Foreman could have discharged her. He didn't need Brennan going off like a hero, as if he was the only one working.
He stopped at the top landing right inside the hall door, restless and wanting to rush ahead, but hauled back by Amber's question. "Support in that every time I turn around, I don't see you calling for backup!" he said. "House isn't here. Instead of calling him, come up with your own ideas! You're right, I'm not going to solve this on my own, so why don't you help?"
