Foreman moved closer to Amber to drop a kiss on her pouty lower lip. "I won't be long," he said. He wondered exactly what she'd almost said. What she wanted. Too bad she'd cut herself off. But it was clear now that she wanted him to stay. Foreman had been pretty sure--after that, why would either of them want to give up the chance at a second round if they didn't have to?--but he felt better being sure. No point in pushing for something and making a great night into an awkward wait for the morning after.

Amber was draped over him, and Foreman felt suddenly relaxed enough that he didn't want to move. He'd asked about the shower as an excuse to leave if he needed one, but now that he didn't, he'd rather stay in bed and keep kissing and touching.
